Kelly Smith
KELLY SMITH is a local gal who was raised in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, spending most of her employment as an animal control officer. Known as “the dog lady”, she still maintains a passion for animals and the outdoors.With her bubbly personality and ever-present smile, Kelly has always had a passion for singing. But it took winning first place in the 2024 Ozarks Got Singers talent contest and its $1,000 prize to bring her out of her shell. Kelly says she sings “for fun and not for fame”, performing blues, occasional country and Christian music. She has a very eclectic taste in music--- growing up she was influenced by Tracy Chapman, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, and several other blues singers. She has performed with various local artists and bands, including Christopher Smith, The Southern Skies Band, and Osage Water. She currently sings alongside the Creek Rats.
